We’re looking for a Kitchen Manager who loves great food, a well-run kitchen, and being part of a place people genuinely enjoy coming to.

The East End Cafe is a busy neighborhood cafe with a fresh, elevated menu and a team that takes pride in what we serve. We need someone who can lead the kitchen while still jumping in and cooking alongside the team—someone organized, dependable and calm when the ticket printer starts getting a little too excited.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys creating consistency, keeping a kitchen running smoothly and helping a team get better every day.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and work alongside our kitchen team during service
• Keep food quality, presentation and portioning consistent
• Prep, cook and execute our menu efficiently
• Train and coach cooks and prep staff
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized and ready for service
• Manage prep levels, ordering and inventory
• Help control food waste and food costs
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Help with seasonal specials and new menu items
• Solve problems before they become problems
• Create a kitchen culture that is positive, accountable and drama-free

The East End Cafe is looking for a Sandwich Line Cook who can keep up with a busy lunch rush, make a great-looking sandwich, and understands that fast and consistent can absolutely go together.

This is a hands-on position perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their food, and likes being part of a team that gets things done.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and assemble sandwiches, wraps, toasts and other cafe menu items
• Work the sandwich station during busy breakfast and lunch service
• Follow recipes, portioning and presentation standards
• Operate the panini press, flat top and other kitchen equipment
• Complete daily prep and keep your station stocked and ready
• Maintain speed and accuracy when orders start rolling in
• Make sure every plate leaving your station looks great
• Keep your station clean, organized and food-safe
• Communicate with other cooks and front-of-house staff
• Help with prep, dishes and other kitchen tasks when needed
• Pay attention to inventory and let the Kitchen Manager know when items are running low
