The East End Cafe is a locally owned neighborhood cafe focused on great food, exceptional coffee, and genuine hospitality. Our menu features elevated sandwiches, fresh salads, breakfast and brunch favorites, baked goods, and seasonal specials—all made with quality ingredients and attention to detail.

We’re a busy, growing cafe with a close-knit team, and we’re looking for a Line Cook / Sandwich Cook who takes pride in making great food and can help us deliver the consistency and quality our customers expect.

Our kitchen is fast-paced, organized, and team-oriented. As a Line Cook, you’ll play an important role in preparing our sandwiches and cafe menu items accurately, efficiently, and beautifully—even during a busy lunch rush.

You’ll work alongside our kitchen and front-of-house teams to keep orders moving, stations stocked, and food consistently prepared to The East End Cafe’s standards.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys staying busy, works well with others, and takes pride in the food they send out.

We’re looking for someone who brings reliability, energy, and attention to detail to the kitchen.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous restaurant, cafe, deli, or professional kitchen experience
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Work with a sense of urgency without sacrificing quality
• Follow recipes, portioning, and presentation standards consistently
• Take ownership of their station and keep it clean, stocked, and organized
• Be dependable and arrive on time and ready to work
• Communicate well with both kitchen and front-of-house team members
• Stay calm and focused during busy service periods
• Be willing to jump in wherever needed and help the team succeed
• Take pride in serving food that looks and tastes great

• Prepare sandwiches, salads, breakfast items, and other cafe menu offerings to order
• Follow established recipes, portions, plating, and presentation standards
• Prep ingredients and maintain proper levels for service
• Work efficiently during high-volume breakfast and lunch periods
• Keep your station clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Communicate clearly with teammates to keep orders moving accurately
• Maintain consistent food quality from opening through the end of service
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, labeling, and food safety procedures
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily kitchen cleaning responsibilities
• Help identify ways we can make our kitchen more efficient and organized
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, team-focused work environment
